I realized about 35 years ago… that if I wanted to earn a good living… and at the same time… have time freedom… that I wasn’t going to get it from a job or traditional business.
So… I looked outside the box and built a business in Network Distribution instead. That was and still is the best decision I ever made… and I have been fortunate to have been with one company all this time.
In my experience… the biggest single reason that holds most people back from joining the industry or being successful at it… is they don’t understand the business.
I like to ask people entering the industry this question… why does Network Distribution exist?
Their answers usually imply that the reason it exists… is so they can earn a great income… and seems to have nothing to do with the company that chooses to use this business model.
I explain to them that the reason Network Distribution exists… is because nobody listens to advertising anymore.
Today… we make 80% of our purchasing decisions… based on the recommendations of someone we know, like and trust.
With Network Distribution… we are doing something that big companies just can’t do.
So this changes everything as far as how most people look at the business. It clearly points out that Network Distribution isn’t a sales business as people don’t want to be sold… but instead expect that trust and a relationship be established.
A best explanation for this business is this… ‘it’s a teaching business.’
The second answer to why it exists is… ‘it’s a better business model.’
Network Distribution companies don’t pay for advertising, they have no retail outlets and they don’t have salespeople on their payroll.
Instead, they usually have one office per country for warehousing, shipping orders and for providing customer service.
To replace sales people and advertising… they contract with Distributors or Independent Business Owners (IBOs) that work from their own home office.
Here is how it works
IBOs and Distributors have no territories and can usually do business in as many countries as their company does business in. Their job, other than building relationships and establishing trust… is educating others about the brand and if they wish… building a team.
IBOs and Distributors are paid a percentage of the volume they create directly and indirectly… and for as long as people order… which could be for life.
Roughly speaking… the money that companies save by not having all the overhead of traditional business… gets paid to Distributors or IBOs for doing a better job than advertising could ever do.
Another very attractive feature is that when you build a business… you own it… and you can sell it or will it when you are done with it.

-find a product that people love and can’t get anywhere else… and has a great monthly reorder rate
-find a solid company that produces a product like that
-find a supportive sponsor with the systems to help you succeed…
