I hope you read Blog # 1 and watched the video. – ‘Understanding Why Network Distribution Exists’. This will prepare you for this subject.

I started with a company almost 35 years ago… built a nice business… and built it to last. It’s a long story but after 12 years os so of building the business… my wife and I parted ways and split the business.

I had way more responsibility as now I took on the major role of raising my daughters, running the house and running the business. Something had to give and I would up taking about 15 years away rom my business.

That is one of the reasons I built this business… to always have the income to pay for our life, no matter what came along.

During those 15 years… I kept educating myself, kept up the relationships with my leaders, served my customers if they needed help… and I let my leaders be leaders. I think I held three meetings during that time and the business remained strong.

I know this sounds foreign to most people as they think this business is about motivating people. How can that be they ask? Well I’ll try to explain the reasons I feel that my business has had such longevity.

I know that it isn’t just one or two points… it’s a combination of several things that creates longevity. The obvious are:

-unique – proprietary products that creates loyal customers

-solid company

-great training and support

-community

But what else?

Here are three important points a leader needs to do:

1) Passion and excitement. 

There is no shortage of people who have no excitement, no passion and no vision for what they do. We will choose the excited-passionate person any day over… hum drum. You may think hum drum is your personality… but you will have to rise above it if you want people to follow you… and be clear on this point – Everyone follows someone… and it might as well be you.

I always read books and took courses to keep my passion and excitement up and I believe there is nothing more exciting than building a business in Network Distribution… especially if you really like your company, the owners, your upline… and your team!

2) I learned a very long time ago that ‘people will either do it or they won’t’.  It doesn’t matter if they are my customers, involved in the business, or not involved at all… they are all my friends.

3) I treated the business like I invested $100,000 instead of $47.00. My criteria from the start… was to create a low stress – profitable business that lasted. I planned for that, created the systems I needed… and went after it.
